Production Manager (Live Events)

Location: Washington, DC preferred; East Coast required. Regular travel and occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends are required.

Salary: Pre-production compensation of $38.50–$44.00 per hour for 15–20 hours per week; on-site compensation of $1,500 per 12-hour day.

What you will do

• Lead technical production and on-site execution for mainstage programs, filmed receptions, and other hirify.global Live events.
• Manage audiovisual systems, lighting, staging, livestreaming, broadcast operations, show cues, and asset delivery.
• Serve as show-caller and stage manager, coordinating talent rehearsals, technical run-throughs, and backstage operations.
• Manage pre-event logistics, timelines, technical deliverables, venue teams, production vendors, and freelance technicians.
• Create event graphics in Adobe After Effects and floor plans with the operations team.
• Support post-event wrap-up, including media clipping and delivery to editorial and marketing teams.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in event production, focused on A/V systems, livestreaming, and show execution.
• Strong knowledge of live-event technical workflows, including rigging, lighting, communications, and streaming platforms.
• Hands-on experience with show-calling, stage management, and backstage coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent events with precision, strong attention to detail, and high-quality deliverables.
• Knowledge of production documentation such as Run of Show, Tech Flows, Shoflo, and asset management.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and project management tools such as Wrike or Airtable.
