Freelance Photographer, Hollywood Reel Time (Video Production)

Location: Full-time on-site at an hirify.global-designated worksite in Los Angeles and the surrounding area, California, USA

Salary: $29.02–$61.44 per hour

What you will do

• Gather high-quality and informative news and entertainment stories in the field.
• Work closely with operations, management, on-air reporters, and newsroom personnel.
• Capture reliable news footage, audio, and images for broadcast, station promotions, and other projects.
• Operate ENG equipment, microwave trucks, vehicles, and digital video systems safely.
• Resolve technical issues in the field and work independently under deadline pressure.
• Follow journalistic, safety, and daily operational standards.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of ENG field operations.
• Proficiency with Edius, Dalet, Adobe Premiere, and digital video workflows including FTP, bonded cellular, and/or IP connectivity.
• Ability to operate a microwave truck and other vehicles safely.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift equipment up to 25 pounds, and work with a high degree of self-sufficiency.
• Must be willing to work in Los Angeles and the surrounding area and perform the position full-time on-site.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States; NABET union membership is required for successful candidates who are not already members.

Nice to have

• At least five years of experience in news camera or field photography.
• Degree in broadcast journalism or production.
• Strong news photography, production, computer, Internet, and digital equipment skills.
