Onsite Live Event Technician (Audio Visual) (Live Events/Broadcast Production): Delivering audio, video, webcast, and studio production support for corporate conferences and live events with an accent on equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and client coordination. Location: Onsite in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Salary: CAD 32–36 per hour

What you will do
- Coordinate client requirements for corporate live events, including equipment, staffing, space layouts, setup, operation, and teardown.
- Set up, operate, move, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and store audiovisual and media studio equipment.
- Operate mobile webcast kits, control rooms, sound systems, cameras, lighting, microphones, audio boards, and presentation technology.
- Support pre-event planning, mock testing, dry runs, live production, recordings, and post-event activities.
- Respond to client and event coordinator requests, resolve issues, and escalate technical problems when needed.
- Guide clients on meeting best practices, presentation flow, and the use of event and presentation technologies.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of demonstrated production experience.
- Four-year degree in Broadcast Production or related demonstrated experience.
- Understanding of technology, business office procedures, multitasking, customer relations, and sensitive information handling.
- Ability to deliver high-impact solutions under tight timelines and budgets while learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking, self-motivation, teamwork, discretion, and quality focus.
- Ability to move 50–75 pounds of equipment and work in an office, studio, and corporate environment.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of studio operations experience.
- 3+ years of experience with streaming technologies and live event video capture and distribution.
- Experience as a Technical Director in live productions, broadcast, or webcast technologies.
- Experience mentoring and training clients for successful presentations.
- Background in streaming technologies, events, live production, and technical delivery options.
