Early Career Intern - Investments (IFI NYC) (Municipal Bonds)

Location: New York, New York; at least four full days each week in the hirify.global office

Compensation: $40/hour

What you will do

• Support credit analysts with fundamental credit research in the municipal bond market.
• Build and maintain financial models and credit monitoring tools.
• Research investment opportunities and present findings to the team.
• Prepare presentations, summaries, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with portfolio management, client portfolio management, risk, and research teams on assigned projects.
• Participate in meetings, training, mentorship, networking, and development activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program as a rising junior, graduating by summer 2028.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets and investments.
• Familiarity with Excel and financial statement analysis, with strong attention to detail and work ethic.
• Must be able to work in the New York office.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.; employment-based immigration sponsorship, OPT, and CPT support are not available.

Nice to have

• Background in finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, data analytics, or business.
• Creative problem-solving and analytical thinking experience.
• Experience gathering and interpreting market data.
• Prior investment management internship experience.
