Applications Architect (ServiceNow)

Location: Remote within the United States; all applicants must currently reside in the United States. Travel is expected at 0–10%.

Salary: $175,963–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end application architecture for ServiceNow-based case management and adjudication experiences.
• Design integrations between ServiceNow and signal ingestion, entity resolution, scoring, analytics, and decision-support layers.
• Define API and integration patterns covering service boundaries, contracts, error handling, idempotency, versioning, and performance.
• Guide ServiceNow platform architecture, including scalability, maintainability, upgrade-safe customization, and governance.
• Design adjudicator workflows, case queues, auditability, score traceability, and human-in-the-loop decision support.
• Partner with UX specialists and stakeholders, participate in architecture reviews, and support delivery with technical artifacts and reference implementations.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance must be maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years of experience, Master’s degree with 8–10 years, or PhD with 5–7 years; additional relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 7 years of application architecture experience designing complex, integrated enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated ServiceNow platform architecture experience beyond development and configuration.
• Strong API and integration design experience, including REST, event-driven patterns, data contracts, and integration reliability.
• Experience translating data architecture into implementable application interfaces, plus strong communication and UX judgment for operational tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow architecture tooling, IntegrationHub, API gateway patterns, or equivalent integration tools.
• Experience with enterprise service bus patterns.
• End-to-end ownership, systems thinking, pragmatic decision-making, and cross-team collaboration.
