Senior Project Scheduler

What you will do

• Design, develop, update, and maintain weekly project schedules and the Program Schedule Management Plan.
• Validate MS Project schedules against commitments and resource availability with VA program managers and stakeholders.
• Integrate project tasks and updates into Integrated Master Schedules for CCN NG technical readiness and VFMP modernization efforts.
• Identify and document dependencies, develop MS Project macros, and streamline scheduling processes.
• Recommend mitigation strategies for high-risk milestones and coordinate resolutions with project stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly schedule reports and lead monthly status meetings for VA PMO leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale IT or healthcare programs.
• Expertise in MS Project for schedule development and maintenance.
• Experience integrating project schedules into an Integrated Master Schedule and supporting Agile delivery cadences.
• Knowledge of both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to coordinate technical experts, project leads, project managers, customers, and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• More than 4 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale IT or healthcare programs.
• Experience with federal clients such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
• Familiarity with VA or federal program scheduling standards.
• Experience in a hospital, health system, or health insurance organization.
