Lead Engineer - Electronic Systems (Embedded)

Location: Onsite in Peoria, Illinois, USA

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead embedded hardware and software engineering teams developing electronic systems for off-highway mobile equipment.
• Develop system requirements, architecture designs, and technical documentation for new and existing products.
• Plan and coordinate projects with internal functions, suppliers, customers, and international development centers.
• Provide technical leadership, make engineering decisions, and solve unprecedented system and product problems.
• Approve designs using design reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Design for Manufacturing methods.
• Support reliable, cost-effective systems for vehicle data collection, monitoring, analysis, controls, and displays.

Requirements

• Engineering or related technical degree with 15–25 years of experience designing related products, depending on education.
• Experience with embedded C/C++, electronic circuit design, and embedded hardware and software tools.
• Experience creating requirements, specifications, and test plans.
• Strong knowledge of analytical and testing methods, failure analysis, root cause analysis, and regulatory requirements for electronic designs.
• Familiarity with off-highway mobile equipment, including hydraulics, engines, drive systems, and construction, mining, or forestry applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
