Principal Software Developer

Location: United States (Florida - Tampa); hybrid work arrangement

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain software programs and components for new and existing products.
• Modify software to resolve issues, support hardware changes, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
• Research, develop, and test complex scripts, APIs, reusable components, and frameworks.
• Review technical requirements, analyze source data, and provide gap analysis.
• Test programs and products before launch and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.
• Support team members, mentor junior developers, and contribute to development and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of software development experience covering design, coding, testing, debugging, and support.
• Strong foundation in Java, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases in large-scale environments and basic database administration.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat, API development, functional testing, debugging, and Linux-based reusable frameworks.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with transaction rating, invoicing systems, and e-invoicing protocols.
• Knowledge of financial accounting systems, tax applications, or telecommunication protocols.
• Experience with C# or similar programming languages.
