Software Engineer III - WebLogic JEE Developer (Oracle)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain WebLogic, Oracle Fusion, and Oracle Service Bus integrations.
• Deliver minor enhancements, performance optimizations, and defect fixes for legacy WebLogic code and enterprise service bus layers.
• Develop, extend, and support enterprise APIs and backend API calls through WebLogic and Oracle Fusion middleware.
• Implement and troubleshoot synchronous and asynchronous Enterprise Application Integration patterns using XQuery and XSLT transformations.
• Diagnose message-flow bottlenecks, defects, and environment issues to stabilize integration delivery projects.
• Test SOAP and REST web services and maintain WebLogic Server environments to support continuous uptime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of enterprise experience in Java EE/JEE development and middleware integration platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience with WebLogic Server 10g and/or 11g, including development, configuration, maintenance, and management.
• Proven experience building and maintaining Oracle Service Bus and Oracle Fusion middleware integrations.
• Advanced knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous EAI patterns and hands-on experience with XQuery and XSLT.
• Experience building, debugging, and testing web services and APIs using SOAP UI.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting integration teams in electric, gas, or critical infrastructure utilities.
• Familiarity with migrating or bridging legacy JEE/WebLogic services to cloud-native or microservice architectures.
• Strong diagnostic, technical documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
