What you will do

• Build distributed and reactive backend systems, microservices, and services using Scala, Play Framework, and Akka.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and scalable application components.
• Optimize MySQL and Oracle databases, including query performance and application tuning.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across distributed applications.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write tests, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot defects, and maintain software quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend application development experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Scala development.
• Strong expertise in Scala, Play Framework, Akka, distributed systems, reactive systems, and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Expertise with MySQL and Oracle, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and performance testing.
• Experience with Amazon EKS and containerized application deployments, plus the ability to collaborate across cross-functional Agile teams.
