Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Remote within Canada, with the role listed for Montreal or Toronto, Quebec or Ontario. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Team members may work abroad for up to 3 months per year where legally entitled to work.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build, train, evaluate, and improve machine learning models for real-world business requirements.
• Develop preprocessing workflows and feature pipelines while maintaining data quality and consistency.
• Contribute to model deployment, versioning, monitoring, CI/CD, and automation practices.
• Integrate machine learning components with Snowflake, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and senior ML engineers on technical solutions, documentation, testing, and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in machine learning fundamentals and experience training and evaluating models.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries, including pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as model tracking, automated pipelines, and monitoring.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.
• Successful candidates must complete criminal and credit background checks.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with APIs or production data workflows.
• Interest in responsible AI, security, or governance.
