ML Engineer II - Simulation Enablement (Autonomous Vehicles)

Salary: $153,200–$183,800 USD annually, plus potential bonus and stock options.

What you will do

• Serve as the embedded point of contact between the Dataloop + Simulation division and one or two Autonomy teams.
• Implement end-to-end data flows from data operations through simulation environments to persistent storage at scale.
• Onboard autonomy models to replay, recompute, and metric-evaluation workflows.
• Drive adoption of visualization tools and translate UI/UX feedback into product improvements.
• Debug full-stack issues across data ingestion, simulation execution, storage, and metrics.
• Document workflows, onboard users, and convert engineering feedback into product-roadmap requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong Python skills and experience building or operating data pipelines at scale.
• Experience with simulation, replay, or model validation.
• Familiarity with autonomy or robotics ML models, including perception, tracking, prediction, or planning.
• Comfort working with cloud storage and compute, plus strong cross-team communication and hands-on debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or embedded platform experience.
• Experience with Camera, Lidar, Vehicle Intent, or Object Tracking models.
• Familiarity with Foxglove, OpenGL, Three.js, MCAP, Parquet, PyArrow, Daft, or Pandas.
• Experience with Ray, Anyscale, AWS HyperPods, Terraform, or GitHub Actions.
