TL;DR
Associate Data Scientist (Healthcare Data) (Python/SQL/Tableau): Preparing, analyzing, and visualizing real-time and historical healthcare data for population health reporting, KPI dashboards, and outcomes evaluation with an accent on data extraction, quality, and customer-focused insights. Focus on building complex SQL queries, cleaning and aggregating data from varied sources, and communicating recommendations to internal and external partners.
Location: Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario, with a requirement to reside within commutable distance to the office, or remote within Canada
Salary: CAD 90,000–100,000 base salary annually, plus bonus and benefits

What you will do
- Extract healthcare data to build metrics and create or update Tableau dashboards tracking company, department, and customer KPIs.
- Prepare, analyze, review, clean, aggregate, and preprocess real-time and historical data from varied sources.
- Report on acute care utilization, conditions and diagnoses, facility onboarding, data quality, platform usage, and engagement.
- Share insights with customers and provide recommendations on success drivers, opportunities, outcomes evaluation, and ROI.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to develop dashboards, metrics, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses.
- Participate in peer review to ensure the accuracy and quality of deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, public health, economics, social science, or actuarial science.
- 2–7 years of experience in analytics work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Python, Tableau, SQL, data warehouses, relational databases, and complex queries for standard and ad hoc data mining.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across Data Science, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and related teams.

- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
