Software Engineer (Platform)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, Montreal, New York, or Toronto

Salary: $165,000–$330,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and build continuous deployment infrastructure for changes across Kubernetes clusters and global regions.
• Develop progressive delivery systems, including canary releases, staged rollouts, and automated rollback.
• Improve release velocity by reducing pipeline friction and automating manual operational workflows.
• Partner with product and infrastructure teams to make services deployable, observable, and resilient at scale.
• Implement GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and progressive delivery methodologies.
• Build automated deployment health evaluation using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to detect regressions and trigger safe rollbacks.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment systems at scale.
• Experience building or operating continuous deployment platforms.
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Commitment to safe production rollouts and minimizing blast radius.
• Ability to work independently on ambiguous, high-impact infrastructure challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience developing open-source developer tools.
• Interest in agent-assisted or autonomous deployment workflows using modern AI tooling.
