What you will do
- Develop and maintain in-house backend platforms using Node.js and Nest.js.
- Design and implement complex third-party API integrations.
- Build new features from scratch within a microservices environment.
- Optimize backend systems for high-load performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and Nest.js.
- Relocation: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
- Understanding of microservice architecture and TDD principles.
- English: Advanced proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Experience with NATS and RabbitMQ.
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD workflows.
