TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal (On-site role)

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain in-house backend platforms using Node.js and Nest.js.
  • Design and implement complex third-party API integrations.
  • Build new features from scratch within a microservices environment.
  • Optimize backend systems for high-load performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with frontend, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality code.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and Nest.js.
  • Relocation: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and TDD principles.
  • English: Advanced proficiency required.

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
  • Experience with NATS and RabbitMQ.
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD workflows.
