Software Engineer I-2 (Embedded)

Location: Onsite in Sunrise, Florida, United States. Occasional local travel is required. Applicants must be U.S. persons or eligible for approval under ITAR/EAR export-control requirements; U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $60,500–$92,500 per year.

What you will do

• Design, code, simulate, integrate, validate, deploy, and maintain software for product enhancements and new systems.
• Write modular, reusable, testable, and scalable code together with unit tests.
• Support algorithm design, debugging, documentation, and software design reviews.
• Work through the full software development life cycle under the company’s Agile and Scrum processes.
• Use JIRA to track work and collaborate with software and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Deliver assigned work according to project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Expertise in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, C++, or Web UI development.
• Experience with object-oriented design, data structures, databases, operating systems, source control, IDEs, debugging, and unit testing.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Sunrise, Florida, and meet U.S. person or export-license eligibility requirements under ITAR/EAR; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Test-driven development experience.
• Qt, Android, iOS, or React/Redux development experience.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Experience working with Scrum and collaborating in fast-paced, deadline-driven teams.
