Software Engineer I-3 (Embedded)

Location: Onsite in Sunrise, Florida, United States; ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment is required. Applicants must be U.S. persons or eligible for an export license under ITAR/EAR; U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $60,500–$92,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, code, debug, test, deploy, and maintain software for new products and enhancements.
• Develop modular, reusable, testable, and scalable code, including unit tests, simulations, integrations, and validation.
• Support algorithm design based on detailed software requirements and participate in software design reviews.
• Work through the full software development life cycle while maintaining schedules, status, and work logs in JIRA.
• Collaborate with software teams and other engineering disciplines to support multiple programs.
• Contribute to system design and implementation under the guidance of senior engineers in a Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Expertise in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, C++, or Web UI.
• Object-oriented design, data structures, databases, operating systems, mathematical, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with SVN or Git, IDEs, debugging techniques, and unit testing.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for an export license under ITAR/EAR; U.S. citizenship is required. Occasional local travel is required.

Nice to have

• Qt experience.
• Test-driven development experience.
• Android, iOS, or React/Redux web development experience.
