Lead Product Designer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Own the design direction for a product domain, product line, or shared system.
• Connect design decisions to revenue, retention, cost, patient trust, and operational efficiency.
• Define complex problems, lead research and experimentation, and turn ambiguity into actionable plans.
• Build scalable design systems, information architecture, shared surfaces, and end-to-end service experiences.
• Set high standards for visual craft, accessibility, UX writing, validation, and experimentation.
• Coach and develop designers while collaborating with product, engineering, and clinical teams.

Requirements

• Typically 8 or more years of product design experience.
• Experience owning a product domain, building systems used by other teams, and developing designers.
• Strong visual design, interaction design, accessibility, systems thinking, and information architecture skills.
• Ability to connect product design with commercial metrics and patient outcomes in a regulated healthcare context.
• Experience with research, experimentation, validation, UX writing, and clear written communication.
• Portfolio required, demonstrating domain-level problem solving, commercial impact, design craft, team development, and the use of AI in design work.

Nice to have

• Experience designing healthcare or other regulated products.
• Experience with AI interfaces and advanced prototyping in real code.
• Experience managing designers while remaining actively involved in design craft.
