Location: Andenes, Nordland, Norway; on-site work at the launch pad is required.

What you will do

  • Support launch campaigns from preparation and pad-readiness checks through operation of ground and vehicle systems.
  • Prepare and conduct stage test campaigns for the Spectrum launch vehicle.
  • Develop and improve procedures and processes for safe, efficient operations.
  • Maintain launch infrastructure and perform improvement and maintenance activities.
  • Handle flight hardware and systems interfacing with the launch vehicle while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with local launch crews, design engineers, and technicians from the German headquarters.

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification or bachelor's/master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience developing or testing complex systems, preferably involving cryogenic temperatures, high pressures, high temperatures, or hazardous materials.
  • Experience with test data acquisition, reduction, and evaluation; Python or Matlab experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical design through realization and commissioning.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary troubleshooting and the ability to remain focused in high-stress environments.
  • Fluent English required; Norwegian or German is helpful. Physical dexterity, work in confined spaces, and the ability to lift 25 kg unaided are required.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with fluid systems and piping or tubing.
  • Knowledge of rocket propulsion systems or aerospace structures.
