Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Ensure compliance with German, EU, and other applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, including required documentation and training.
• Maintain safety programs, conduct facility and process inspections, monitor KPIs, and support a zero-accident policy.
• Manage risks related to hazardous materials and waste, including chemicals, pressurised gases, cryogenic fluids, and electrical installations.
• Coordinate EHS training, awareness initiatives, emergency response plans, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Advise aerospace product and project teams on safety, FMEA, HAZID, HAZOP, and risk containment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in environmental health and safety management.
• First professional experience in EHS, preferably in aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, or a similar industry.
• Knowledge of German EHS regulations and experience with risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
• Analytical, solution-oriented, detail-focused, and able to work independently while supporting a strong safety culture.
