What you will do

• Develop, modify, and run high-fidelity simulations of space, airborne, and ISR sensor systems.
• Build operational vignettes reflecting mission needs, constraints, and customer priorities.
• Develop Python and Excel tools, scripts, simulator features, data analysis workflows, and visualizations.
• Analyze simulation results to identify trends, risks, trade-offs, and performance drivers.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control on model inputs, assumptions, outputs, and analytical results.
• Present findings to technical teams, senior leaders, customers, and government stakeholders while owning independent analyses.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science.
• Willingness to work on-site in Herndon, Virginia.
• Ability to analyze technical risks and issues, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of astrodynamics, remote sensing, spacecraft design, aerospace systems operations, or complex systems integration.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing complex mathematical algorithms.
• Experience developing standalone engineering tools or scripts with Python and/or Excel.
