Software Engineer (Kotlin)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable microservices and APIs for a cloud-based product.
• Design and implement integrations with external systems using APIs, middleware, and custom development.
• Build stable, secure, and user-friendly services that support current capacity and future growth.
• Design scalable solutions aligned with business functions and product goals.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering teams across clusters and business units.
• Provide technical guidance through architectural documentation, conceptual communication, and hands-on coding.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of software development experience, particularly with cloud-based applications.
• Strong web application development and object-oriented programming skills.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with service-oriented and event-driven architectures, microservices, APIs, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with storage technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch, plus global application scaling.
• Good written and spoken English, with a commitment to automated testing, CI/CD, and secure, standards-compliant code.

Nice to have

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or an Engineering field.
• Experience influencing a growing engineering team and guiding technical decisions.
