Medical Director (Metabolic Health)

Location: New York, NY or remote within the United States. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The office is located in Gramercy.

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, hire, and manage the performance of physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Build clinical quality management systems using metrics, technology, process improvement, and coaching.
• Develop an interdisciplinary care model with dietitians, therapists, and additional provider types.
• Partner with Product, Data, Operations, and Clinical Strategy to improve provider and patient experiences.
• Provide direct patient care through a part-time clinical load.
• Shape new visit types, provider types, service lines, protocols, and scalable clinical foundations.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience after medical school, combining clinical practice with operational or analytical work.
• Strong clinical expertise in the medical management of cardiometabolic disease.
• Previous experience managing clinicians and building quality management structures.
• Ability to use data and analytical rigor while incorporating qualitative judgment.
• Humility, warmth, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to build trust across multidisciplinary teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting, finance, or a startup environment.
• First-principles thinking and experience taking ideas from conception through implementation.
