Advanced Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Brazil

hirify.global is a fintech product company using AI to detect and prevent financial crime, fraud, and money laundering for banks, payment networks, and acquirers.

What you will do

• Design, configure, customize, and extend technical solutions on the hirify.global platform.
• Build and maintain integrations with REST APIs, messaging systems, asynchronous architectures, and file-processing systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, infrastructure, and integration layers.
• Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and operational reliability, including Java and JVM performance.
• Lead technical activities during implementations, upgrades, migrations, and production go-lives.
• Advise enterprise customers, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product Engineering and Product Management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Java development, debugging, customization, and SQL skills.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, REST APIs, messaging platforms, asynchronous systems, and file-based integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Strong production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and Java performance analysis skills, including thread dumps, heap analysis, and JVM tuning.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, performance, and direct customer collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with fraud prevention, financial services, or risk management platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
