Mid-Level Application Production Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day RUN and MCO support for e/mBanking applications and related APIs.
• Diagnose production incidents and coordinate technical resolution with support and development teams.
• Execute deployments, releases, and configuration changes using XL Deploy, XL Release, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools.
• Support application runtimes across Linux and Windows environments, maintaining service availability.
• Improve production stability through documentation, procedures, and operational enhancements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with technical leads on complex issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in application production support or RUN environments.
• Good knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, Docker, and API-based application landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with XL Deploy, XL Release, Jenkins, or similar deployment and release tools.
• Solid Linux knowledge and working familiarity with Windows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex production incidents.
• Communicative English is required, and candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience with private cloud or Azure environments.
• Basic scripting or automation skills with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring or observability tools.
• Background in application migration or transformation projects.
• French language skills.
