Cloud 2nd Line Ops Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote in Portugal

Salary: €3,600–€3,800 monthly gross salary, including fixed and variable components, meal allowance, remote work allowance, and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain the IT landscape, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
• Guide first-line support and identify the appropriate routing for incidents and requests.
• Analyze complex operational issues and communicate solutions to team members, customers, and vendors.
• Create and maintain runbooks, FAQs, troubleshooting procedures, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve operational issues and support IT strategy.
• Provide 24/7 standby support on a rotating basis.

Requirements

• Intermediate-level experience in cloud operations and a strong technical background.
• Proactive, analytical, solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting complex issues.
• Clear communication skills for technical discussions with teams, customers, and vendors.
• Experience deploying Terraform through pipelines.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps service connections, variable groups, group management, pipelines, repositories, and permissions/security.
• Solid experience with Azure cloud services and Azure resources including Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Key Vault, OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Kubernetes, Event Hubs, and Function Apps.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, Cosmos DB, Blob/ADLS storage, and selecting suitable storage for specific use cases.
• Experience with Azure RBAC, including custom and predefined roles.
• Knowledge of Azure Networking concepts including Virtual Networks, subnets, private endpoints, and Network Security Groups.
• Ability to work effectively across teams, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a customer-centric approach.
