Director of Product Development (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote across eligible U.S. states; based in the United States. Up to approximately 25% travel may be required, including travel outside the continental United States.

Salary: $126,000–$277,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the full product development lifecycle, from requirements definition through deployment, sustainment, and portfolio evolution.
• Translate mission and customer requirements into product roadmaps, technical requirements, investment decisions, and priorities.
• Lead and develop an organization of approximately 30 professionals, including managers.
• Provide technical direction for secure communications, networking architectures, IPsec, firewall design, enclave segregation, endpoint hardening, and multi-enclave integration.
• Ensure alignment with NSA CSfC, RMF, ATO, STIG, CCI, NIAP, and related accreditation frameworks.
• Engage with government customers, engineering, cybersecurity, manufacturing, program teams, and technology partners to deliver resilient mission-critical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience in secure communications, tactical networking, cybersecurity, mission systems, or product development in government or defense environments.
• Experience leading complex product initiatives and large cross-functional technical organizations, including managers.
• Active Secret security clearance required; active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of NSA CSfC, NIAP, RMF, ATO, IPsec, firewall architecture, secure networking, enclave segregation, endpoint hardening, and multi-enclave environments.
• Experience with DoD or Intelligence Community environments, government productization, portfolio planning, and forward-deployed, DDIL, disconnected, intermittent, or air-gapped environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business field.
• Prior military service or direct support to operational military or combatant command environments.
• Familiarity with DoDIN APL, STIG/CCI libraries, NSA CSfC registration, test planning, and test annex execution.
• Experience with Dell, Cisco, SonicWall, VMware, or Aruba technologies.
