Senior Java Developer (Banking)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid work combining office and remote work

Salary: €4,500–€6,500 gross per month for employees in Lithuania

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design scalable solutions, APIs, integrations, and backend functionality for banking applications.
• Support legacy-system integration while contributing to new products, technical upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and delivery processes.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud, and infrastructure technologies.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 21+ and Spring Boot, with experience in Hibernate and REST APIs or integrations.
• Experience with Git, Gradle, IntelliJ, and Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to technical decisions.
• Fluent English is required for daily communication.

Nice to have

• OpenShift, CloudBees, Helm, and SonarQube.
• DevOps, cloud, CI/CD, and infrastructure experience.
• Angular, JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, or automated testing experience.
