Sr. Technical Marketing Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid role based in Morrisville, North Carolina, or San Jose, California, United States, with in-office and in-person expectations.

Salary: $196,350–$292,600 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

What you will do

• Shape FlexPod and continuous integration solution strategy using customer, partner, and field feedback.
• Develop, validate, and document reference architectures, deployment methodologies, demos, and best practices.
• Build and operate lab and test environments to evaluate performance, scalability, reliability, security, and customer use cases.
• Create white papers, presentations, videos, demos, product documentation, competitive positioning, and field enablement content.
• Conduct customer, sales, partner, and executive workshops, technical briefings, and RFP support.
• Drive automation, validation tools, deployment frameworks, monitoring approaches, and escalation support for complex infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, storage, cloud, technical marketing, product management, solutions architecture, engineering, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in storage and data management, compute, networking, virtualization, Linux, enterprise applications, and databases.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud, AI/ML infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and automation frameworks.
• Ability to connect technical capabilities with customer requirements, market dynamics, value propositions, and measurable business outcomes.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills across executive, customer, engineering, and architecture audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with FlexPod, converged infrastructure, AI infrastructure, hybrid cloud, reference architectures, technical marketing, solution engineering, or product management.
• Knowledge of IBM Storage Scale or Lustre parallel file systems.
• Server experience with Cisco, Supermicro, or Dell platforms.
• Hands-on experience with hyperscalers.
• Advanced technical degree.
