TL;DR
Software Engineer (L2) (Rust): Building core crypto product services from a blank Rust repository, including APIs, data models, integrations, and production infrastructure with an accent on scalable architecture, reliability, and maintainable code. Focus on designing REST APIs, making foundational architectural decisions, owning systems in production, and solving operational challenges as the product scales.
Location: Fully remote, based in Europe; Poland is listed as the location.

What you will do
- Design and build core services, APIs, data models, integrations, and production infrastructure.
- Own significant product areas end to end, including production operations, on-call responsibilities, and incident response.
- Partner with Product and Design to define robust requirements that perform under real-world load.
- Drive architecture and technical decisions while establishing the foundations of a new product.
- Set coding, testing, instrumentation, and code-review standards while mentoring engineers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
- Strong experience with Rust, Go, Java, or Kotlin; production Rust experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to design REST APIs at scale, including contracts and versioning strategies.
- Deep experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform, containers, and CI/CD.
- Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and sound judgment when reviewing generated output.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives, plus clear written and verbal English and a self-driven work style.
Nice to have
- Experience with payment rails, card issuing, or regulated fintech requirements such as PSD2, KYC/AML, and PCI DSS.
- Knowledge of crypto custody, on-chain settlement, stablecoins, and blockchain fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Sentry or New Relic.
- Experience setting technical direction or architecture for an early-stage product.
