Senior Software Engineer (Crypto)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; remote for the first months, then hybrid

What you will do

• Design and build core product services, including APIs, data models, integrations, and foundational architecture.
• Own significant product areas end-to-end from design through production, including on-call responsibility and incident response.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements and ensure systems hold up under real-world load.
• Set code quality standards through implementation, reviews, testing, instrumentation, and mentorship.
• Drive early-stage architecture and technical decisions for a new product built from the ground up.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Production Rust experience is required; strong experience with Go, Java, or Kotlin is also relevant.
• Experience designing REST APIs at scale, including contracts and versioning strategies.
• Deep experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform, containers, and CI/CD systems.
• Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and sound judgment when reviewing their output.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives, clear written and verbal English, and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment rails such as SEPA, SWIFT, or ACH, or with card issuing.
• Background in regulated fintech, including PSD2, KYC/AML, or PCI DSS.
• Experience with crypto custody, on-chain settlement, stablecoin flows, or blockchain fundamentals such as ERC20, RPC nodes, and UTXO and account models.
• Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Sentry or New Relic.
• Experience setting technical direction or architecture for an early-stage product.
