Senior Accountant - Reporting & Planning

Location: Adelaide, Australia; hybrid work from home and office and a 9-day fortnight may be considered. Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.

What you will do

• Prepare and review consolidated monthly management reports, finance performance packs, and tasking statement status reports.
• Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts, blended rates, funding, indexation, and enterprise cost bases.
• Develop and maintain workshare cost models, standard rates, and project accounting systems.
• Coordinate annual budgets, re-forecasts, and long-range financial plans for the program.
• Conduct finance reviews of bids, change proposals, pricing submissions, and supporting artefacts.
• Improve financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, governance, and project accounting processes.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification with ongoing membership.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting and project accounting.
• Working knowledge of statutory reporting, corporate taxes, and indirect taxes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, foreign currency exposure, and finance-related roles.
• Australian citizenship and current or obtainable NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance are required.
