Mid-Level Automation Engineer (Ansible, PowerShell, Python)

Location: Hybrid work in Lisbon or Porto, Portugal, with up to three remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for Windows and applicable Linux server provisioning and configuration.
• Refactor and migrate PowerShell scripts to Ansible and Python while applying DevOps standards for maintainability and reuse.
• Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, XL-Deploy, and XL-Release.
• Support the migration from VTOM to Control-M and contribute to RabbitMQ-to-Kafka migration and Redis implementation.
• Use ServiceNow and Jira to manage incidents, problems, changes, deployments, and production traceability.
• Improve performance, observability, and reliability through NeoLoad, k6, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK, AppDynamics, health checks, and secure CyberArk/Conjur secret management.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Strong expertise in Ansible, PowerShell, and Python, with substantial experience in Windows environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, XL-Deploy, and XL-Release.
• Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and observability platforms, including Grafana, Zabbix, ELK, or AppDynamics.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis.
• Fluent English at B2 level or higher and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• DevOps, automation, or cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with CyberArk/Conjur secret management.
• Knowledge of containerization or orchestration technologies.
