Senior Power BI Developer (Data Analytics)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model with up to 3 remote days per week. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business needs.
• Own reporting projects from requirements gathering through delivery and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Build and optimize star-schema data models, relationships, measures, and advanced DAX calculations.
• Transform and prepare data with Power Query and ensure report performance, scalability, and reliable refreshes.
• Apply data visualization, UX/UI, and storytelling best practices to improve business insight.
• Maintain data quality, documentation, governance, security, and BI standards while troubleshooting reporting issues.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, data modeling, star schemas, relationships, and measures.
• Experience with Power Query (M), SQL, and data warehouses.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end BI solutions independently, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Fabric and modern data stacks such as dbt, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Experience with paginated reports and Power BI Report Builder.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for BI deployments and data storytelling aligned with business strategy.
