Solutions Architect (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in the National Capital Region

What you will do

• Design comprehensive architectures for new products, features, and software systems.
• Define technical designs, data models, system diagrams, and component specifications.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, and frameworks while ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide engineers through implementation, review technical designs, and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Manage software development projects, timelines, requirements, and feature priorities with product owners and stakeholders.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle from solution design through release and deployment.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of total professional experience.
• Four-year degree in IT or a related field.
• Strong experience in software architecture design, system integration, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience building application pipelines and working with Agile software development.
• Experience managing stakeholders and coaching or leading a small engineering team.
• Professional experience in the financial or banking industry.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of core banking systems such as Thought Machine or Oradian.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification or a DevOps certification.
