Senior Manager, Network Engineering

Location: US; US-hours coverage for a global follow-the-sun operation.

Salary: $210,000–$360,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four network engineers, with clear ownership, performance management, mentoring, and technical reviews.
• Design, validate, troubleshoot, and review high-performance Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics as a hands-on senior engineer.
• Own network workstreams for US deployments from design and planning through validation and operations.
• Lead senior-level incident response, root-cause analysis, escalation handling, and reliability improvements.
• Implement reference architectures and network-as-code practices using BGP, EVPN, VxLAN, LACP, QoS, IaC, GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Coordinate dependencies with deployment, data centre operations, platform engineering, procurement, vendors, and global regions.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing and developing a technically strong network engineering team while maintaining hands-on technical depth.
• Production expertise with BGP, EVPN, VxLAN, IPv6, LACP, QoS, CLI tooling, Wireshark, and large-scale Ethernet fabric troubleshooting.
• Experience operating InfiniBand and/or RoCE fabrics for accelerated compute, including performance tuning and fabric health management.
• Strong Python and Ansible automation experience across multi-vendor environments, with GitOps and CI/CD-driven network changes.
• Experience with Terraform, Git-based workflows, pipeline tooling, Clos/spine-leaf designs, and resilient multi-site connectivity.
• Availability to support US-hours network engineering operations and lead senior-level incident response.

Nice to have

• SONiC-based switching experience.
• Production multi-tenant InfiniBand operations, including SR-IOV and isolation.
• Experience establishing a new regional team or function.
