Senior Power BI & Data Warehousing Analyst (Banking)

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model with up to 3 remote days per week. Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered.

What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards for corporate banking financing operations.
• Build and optimize enterprise data models using dimensional modeling and Star Schema techniques.
• Write complex DAX calculations and advanced SQL queries, optimizing performance across large datasets.
• Gather requirements and define KPIs with CIB stakeholders and senior banking executives.
• Implement Row-Level Security and manage Power BI workspaces in line with governance and security standards.
• Advise stakeholders on data visualization, governance, and modeling best practices.

Requirements

• More than 6 years of experience in Power BI development and data warehousing within banking or financial services.
• Deep expertise in architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Master-level knowledge of DAX, including performance tuning, evaluation context, and time intelligence.
• Extensive SQL experience with complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Kimball methodology and dimensional modeling.
• Full professional English proficiency is required, and candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Certifications or additional training in data warehousing, Power BI, or related fields.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
