VP of Engineering (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead the recruitment, development, retention, and career growth of a high-performing engineering organisation.
• Define and execute the engineering vision, technical direction, and strategy in partnership with executive and product leadership.
• Oversee architecture and delivery across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and cloud-based platforms.
• Drive engineering execution, KPIs, code quality, system stability, deployment efficiency, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations on priorities, roadmap planning, and technical feasibility.
• Establish modern development practices including CI/CD, testing, observability, agile delivery, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or technology-enabled services.
• Experience leading engineering teams at high-growth technology companies or scale-ups.
• Deep technical expertise across modern architectures and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience managing and growing high-performing distributed engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with agile development, DevOps culture, and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and business strategy skills.
