VP of Operations (Robotics)

Builds fully autonomous, infrastructure-free inventory drones for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 warehouses through a Robots-as-a-Service model.

What you will do

• Own supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and end-to-end hardware operations.
• Scale production while maintaining hardware quality, reliability, yield, and manufacturing velocity.
• Manage contract manufacturers, component suppliers, and logistics partners across domestic and international supply chains.
• Establish quality systems, testing protocols, and reliability standards for robots operating continuously in industrial environments.
• Partner with engineering on design for manufacturability, new product introduction, and hardware revision cycles.
• Build the operations organization and own metrics including unit economics, on-time deployment, and hardware uptime.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hardware operations experience, with significant experience in robotics, electronics, or complex electromechanical products.
• Hands-on experience with electronics manufacturing, component suppliers, and production-scale hardware.
• Track record of scaling hardware production and managing contract manufacturers and multi-tier supply chains.
• Fluency with BOMs, EVT/DVT/PVT, yield, MTBF, ECOs, and factory ramps.
• Comfort working hands-on at factories, supplier sites, and customer warehouses.
• Ability to operate strategically and independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with drones, UAVs, or autonomous mobile robots.
• Experience with Robots-as-a-Service or other hardware-enabled recurring revenue models.
• Background in regulated or safety-critical hardware environments.
• Experience deploying hardware fleets in industrial or logistics environments.
