What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain E2E automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Audit existing coverage and systematically close highest-risk gaps in critical user journeys.
• Root-cause and eliminate flaky tests, establishing quarantine and retry policies.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate tests into the CI pipeline and manage deployment gating.
• Mentor developers on writing high-quality tests and establishing reusable patterns.
• Track and report quality metrics including defect escape rate and suite reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation.
• Deep hands-on expertise in building substantial E2E suites with Playwright.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Proven ability to diagnose and eliminate unreliable tests at scale.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with API-layer test automation (REST, contract testing).
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails applications.
• Knowledge of test data management or Docker-based test infrastructure.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools like Claude Code or Copilot.
