TL;DR
Mid Automation QA Engineer (Playwright/Katalon Studio): Designing and executing automated functional and non-functional tests for digital software products with an accent on test strategy, CI pipelines, and Agile quality practices. Focus on expanding automation coverage, validating complex defect fixes, and optimizing testing scope based on business risks and quality targets.
Location: Porto, Portugal — hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do
- Analyze backlogs and define automation feasibility, test strategies, scenarios, and estimates.
- Develop and execute functional and non-functional automated tests with Playwright and Katalon Studio.
- Organize test execution pipelines and support continuous integration initiatives with Jenkins.
- Identify, track, report, and validate defects through closure.
- Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and propose valuable automation scenarios.
- Refine test requirements and testing scope based on risks, business needs, quality targets, and costs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in test automation within an Agile Scrum environment.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Katalon Studio, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Jira/Xray, Gherkin, and test management practices.
- Strong communication, prioritization, analytical, autonomous, and proactive working skills.
- Fluent English is required.
- Existing legal right to work in Europe is required.
Nice to have
- French language skills.
- Certifications or additional experience in test automation tools or methodologies.
