Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist (Long Island, NY)

Location: Field-based in Long Island, NY, including Great Neck and Lindenhurst; travel up to 70% required.

Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 USD annually, plus discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy for the launch and adoption of an innovative mental health therapy.
• Build strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant product and disease-state education to healthcare providers.
• Support certified treatment sites with onboarding, readiness, treatment workflows, patient selection, and referral pathways.
• Help providers navigate reimbursement, prior authorization, payer processes, and other patient access challenges.
• Manage territory planning, account prioritization, performance tracking, and cross-functional coordination with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or working in pre-launch environments.
• Strong clinical acumen, business judgment, territory management, organizational skills, and healthcare-provider relationship-building ability.
• Experience with psychiatry, CNS, behavioral health, reimbursement, buy-and-bill, site-of-care models, prior authorization, or payer processes is preferred.
