Lead Technical Engineer - DBA SQL Server (SQL Server)

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, patch, configure, and maintain numerous SQL Server installations, including SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Tune complex queries and processes for vendor and in-house applications.
• Design database infrastructure strategies covering hardening, security, maintenance, support, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Assess new SQL Server instances, maintain enterprise inventory, and optimize licensing costs.
• Execute SQL Server upgrades across versions and evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of different upgrade techniques.
• Establish database standards, documentation, project estimates, schedules, and technical training for the team while participating in on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least six years of hands-on SQL Server database administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience with database automation, scripting, performance tuning, upgrades, and infrastructure management.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational best practices.
• Ability to explain complex database concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and contribute to team mentoring.
