Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server)

Location: Fully remote, United States only.

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 USD

What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and maintain SQL Server and other database platforms.
• Optimize views, stored procedures, queries, indexing, capacity, and overall database performance.
• Develop automation scripts and manage replication, scheduled jobs, patching, and third-party database deployments.
• Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives using AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database.
• Design and implement backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Support Application Development, Data Services, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams while balancing projects, incidents, and competing priorities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with SQL Server.
• 3+ years of production experience with cloud-based data solutions, preferably in multi-cloud environments.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, AWS RDS, and Azure databases, including replication, mirroring, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Expertise in disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, database design, and architecture.
• Knowledge of AWS storage services such as S3, Glacier, EFS, and EBS, plus performance tuning and scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.
