Director, Standards Strategy and Engagement (Cybersecurity)

Location: United States; remote position with remote, hybrid, or in-office work options. Travel of up to 50% may be required.

Salary: $153,075–$275,535 base pay, plus eligibility for variable compensation.

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global in standards organizations covering digital identity, trust, security, privacy, and AI-enabled commerce.
• Monitor standards, technology trends, and policy developments affecting business and growth strategy.
• Build relationships with standards bodies, industry alliances, consortiums, and strategic ecosystem partners.
• Identify opportunities to influence industry direction through standards contributions and external engagement.
• Advise business and technology leaders on opportunities, risks, and implications across identity, trust, fraud prevention, and agentic commerce.
• Deliver recommendations and executive-level standards intelligence to support strategic decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in standards ecosystems related to identity, privacy, security, or telecom, including exposure to AI-related standards or initiatives.
• Experience with technology standards organizations, industry alliances, consortiums, or policy forums such as FIDO Alliance, OpenID Foundation, Trust over IP, IETF, W3C, or NIST.
• Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and security considerations affecting digital identity solutions.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical and business issues and translate them into recommendations.
• Experience influencing teams without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; must be based in the United States.
