TL;DR
MFRE Graphic Designer (Print/Digital Design): Creating branded visual materials for graduate program and sustainability certificate marketing, recruitment, and communications with an accent on print design, presentation graphics, social media content, and visual consistency. Focus on developing campaign assets, coordinating prepress and printing, and independently delivering designs across digital and physical media.
Location: Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada; onsite part-time position
Salary: $36.36–$52.25 CAD per hour

What you will do
- Develop branded graphics for LinkedIn promotions, recruitment campaigns, events, and industry insight materials.
- Create posters and digital assets for the MFRE Graduate Program and the Micro-Certificate in Environmental Metrics for Sustainability Reporting.
- Design PowerPoint templates, presentation graphics, and video materials for class visits and external university outreach.
- Design graphic elements and layouts for up to six newsletters annually.
- Provide creative direction, layout planning, illustration, photography, prepress, print coordination, and final art direction.
- Work independently with general guidance while collaborating with MFRE staff and related programs.
Requirements
- Three-year Graphic Design program and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in print design, including prepress and printer coordination.
- Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with both Mac and Windows environments.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, and design skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while respecting diverse perspectives and supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Nice to have
- University degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in art direction, project management, web design, marketing, communications, and branding.
- Basic knowledge of Dreamweaver, Director, and Flash.
