Workers Compensation Manager

Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota, United States; onsite at the local team

Salary: $82,300–$152,800 annual base pay, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of the U.S. workers’ compensation program, including governance, policies, compliance, prevention support, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee claims with third-party administrators, insurers, medical providers, legal counsel, and other external partners.
• Manage complex, high-risk, and litigated claims, including reserves, case valuation, documentation, and resolution strategies.
• Coordinate return-to-work and transitional-duty programs with HR and Operations while supporting medical restrictions and accommodations.
• Analyze claims data, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, audits, accruals, and renewal requirements to reduce financial and operational exposure.
• Develop stakeholder training and advise HR, EH&S, Operations, Finance, Legal, and senior leadership on injury management and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of U.S.-wide workers’ compensation claims experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Experience managing claims end to end, including reserves and case valuation.
• Experience with interactive accommodation processes and complex employee cases.
• Knowledge of ADA, FEHA, FMLA, federal and state disability laws, and workers’ compensation regulations.
• Strong case management, organization, documentation, prioritization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
