Director, Global Supply Chain and Purchasing (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Liverpool, New York, United States

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop global sourcing strategies for commodities, materials, and components supporting manufacturing operations.
• Identify, qualify, select, and negotiate agreements with strategic global suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance, scorecards, improvement initiatives, and supply disruption contingency plans.
• Own S&OP/D&OP mechanisms, inventory strategies, production planning, and excess or obsolete inventory reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, logistics, and quality teams on product launches, DFC, and DFM initiatives.
• Lead sourcing professionals and commodity managers while establishing KPIs and promoting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership.
• 5–8 years of experience in global manufacturing and planning leadership.
• Experience negotiating global supply agreements, delivering cost reductions, and managing supplier risk and commodity markets.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and operations teams on product launches.
• Experience with Advanced Quality Product Planning (APQP), supplier scorecards, negotiations, and cross-functional leadership.
