Director, Global Supply Chain and Purchasing (5G)

Location: Liverpool, New York, United States; based out of the Liverpool, NY office.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 a year.

hirify.global develops, codes, and manufactures software-based 5G technology in the United States for mobile carriers, stadiums, universities, healthcare centers, transit centers, and the U.S. Military.

What you will do

• Lead JMA’s global strategic sourcing and supply chain function across key commodities, materials, components, and product lines.
• Develop sourcing strategies, identify and qualify suppliers, lead supplier selection, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
• Drive cost reduction, monitor commodity markets, and develop contingency strategies to mitigate supply disruption and cost volatility.
• Own S&OP/D&OP mechanisms, inventory and material planning strategies, and gap-closure activities for stock levels, customer on-time delivery, and excess or obsolete inventory.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Quality, R&D, and manufacturing engineering on product launches, DFC, DFM, production capacity, and revenue planning.
• Lead sourcing professionals and commodity managers, establish KPIs, improve supplier performance, and expand the global supplier base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership, including 5–8 years of global manufacturing and planning leadership.
• Proven experience negotiating global supply agreements and delivering cost reductions.
• Strong understanding of global manufacturing supply chains and purchasing.
• Experience working with engineering and operations teams on product launches.
• Knowledge of commodity markets, supplier risk management, and cost modeling.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience with Advanced Quality Product Planning (APQP).
• Experience implementing and managing supplier scorecards and performance improvements.
