Senior Platform Engineer (Manufacturing): Building scalable infrastructure, applications, and tooling that power software-defined manufacturing and flexible robotic manufacturing lines with an accent on Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability. Focus on designing secure platform systems from robot to cloud, evaluating new technologies, and improving developer velocity across engineering teams.
Location: On-site in the Guadalajara Area, Mexico

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and platform tooling.
- Build and deploy software systems spanning robotic manufacturing equipment through cloud services.
- Write clean, maintainable code, conduct peer code reviews, and create technical documentation.
- Investigate design approaches, prototype technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with adjacent engineering teams to understand field usage and improve frameworks and developer velocity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- B.S. or M.S. degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, GitOps workflows, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including self-hosted and managed environments and modern CNCF paradigms.
- Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
Nice to have
- Experience with bare-metal or on-premises infrastructure.
- Experience gathering requirements and communicating system designs with users, technical leaders, and management.
- Demonstrated application of software engineering best practices across the SDLC, including testing and operations.
- Experience mentoring and developing other team members.
