Operations Research Analyst (Data Science)

Location: On-site at Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina, USA. U.S. citizenship is required, and the position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance. Salary: $87,198–$118,523 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and adapt mathematical and statistical models for readiness analysis.
• Conduct predictive, qualitative, and quantitative analyses to compare courses of action and identify trends.
• Build and maintain custom applications, automation tools, dashboards, and digital products using Power Apps, Power BI, and Python.
• Collect, cleanse, validate, and analyze data to produce reliable findings and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to capture readiness-related data and support biweekly Commanding Officer update briefings.
• Create and maintain documentation, user manuals, and training guides for custom applications.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
• At least four years of experience in data science, operations research, and custom application development.
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative science, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with mathematical and statistical modeling, predictive analysis, and data validation.
• Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, VBA, or R, plus custom application and automation development.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, presentation, teamwork, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a federal agency.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Experience creating reports, presentations, user manuals, and training guides.
