Machine Repair Electrician - Mainsite / 3rd Shift

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States. Onsite, 3rd shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Pay: $35–$44 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, adjust, program, and repair production machinery and equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work, including installations, alterations, rebuilds, and equipment fabrication.
• Participate in machine and process design improvements, plant layout changes, machinery relocation, and equipment installations.
• Document repairs, setups, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures to improve equipment reliability and quality control.
• Support machine changeovers and setups in collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality.
• Mentor apprentices, recommend spare parts, and support environmental, recycling, and workplace safety efforts.

Requirements

• Michigan State Journeyman Card and a Journeyman Machine Repair or Industrial Electrician qualification are required.
• A Michigan electrical license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or work experience demonstrating performance competency.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain equipment operator licenses, including forklift or aerial platform certification.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics, with demonstrated mechanical reasoning.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, collaborate with diverse employees, and complete continuing education workshops.

Nice to have

• HAZMAT certification, where required by the location or work assignment.
